A Washington County Democrat since 2012, and before that, a Harris County Democrat. I’m happy to have this opportunity to serve officially in our Democratic Club. I worked at the polls in our spring 2022 elections and look forward to working again in the November mid-terms. I enjoyed teaming up with club members to gather and share real facts about immigration, and occasionally helping our steadfast members who go door-to-door campaigning for Democrats and registering voters.

Our club is important here in Washington County. We must use our voices and our votes to stave off increasingly anti-democratic and anti-American rhetoric and legislation coming from Republican leaders. Our goal is to replace Republicans in office with Democrats who will work for all of us.

Your voice is important. Let’s bring more folks to our meetings, and to the polls, and let’s have fun too! I welcome your thoughts, concerns and ideas. Feel free to reach me at

Earth Day 2022 - Firemans Park Brenham
EarthDay ED002.jpg

The theme of Earth Day 2022 was Invest in our Planet...

Because a green future is a prosperous future, we must form a partnership— businesses , policy makers, city governments, children and their parents (all people who want a livable earth)  to employ the many solutions ready now to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihoods.  We need to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by mid-century to keep the global temperature below 1.5°C.  The warming we have now is already catastrophic (think floods, fires, double the days of 100 degrees plus in Texas, etc.), so time is of the essence.  Holding our children in our hearts, let's be "all in" for this challenge of our lifetime.

34th Annual Black History Breakfast

Many area Democrats attended the 34 Annual Black History Breakfast presented by the Brenham Activist Association on Saturday February 8, 2020.  The Washington County Democratic Party and Democratic Club were one of the sponsors of this important community event.  We look forward to participating in future events presented by Brenham Activist Association and other civic minded community organizations.
